Cantata Chancel Choir

The 2014 FPC Chancel Choir and special guests performed O Night Divine, the Birth of the Savior Thursday, December 4, and Sunday December 7.

Unlike our past cantatas this production was homespun, with Karen Thomasy, Steve Watson and Debra Embry choosing all of the music, and Debra writing all of the narration.

They were wonderful performances with large attendance.

Table of Plenty

Sissy Zander and Debra Embry teamed up for the annual decoration of the Communion Table for the Nov. 18 service prior to Thanksgiving. A wonderful church lunch was served after the service. Special thanks to Punky Penberthy for helping to acquire items for the decoration and to the Congregational Care committee and all contributing church members for the meal.

Mo-Ranch Women’s Conference

There is a “Presence” there—PRESBYTERIAN MO-RANCH ASSEMBLY on the north fork of the Guadalupe River near Hunt, Texas, in the beautiful Texas hill country!

This month First Presbyterian Church, Clifton, was excited to have 11 women attend the May 29-31, 2012 Women's Conference!

FPC women at Mo-Ranch

It was truly a “mountaintop experience.” One lady reflected upon a 7 a.m. Chapel on the Hill devotional using Psalm 121, “I lift up my eyes to the hills—” The solo, “Morning Has Broken,” was awesome! The Conference worship services in the large gathering place were exceptionally meaningful with the theme: “Reflecting the Light: from Mountaintop to Mainstreet.”

Beautiful music, creative Bible study, a spectacular worship center arrangement were uplifting. Ladies could choose to participate in 3 of 14 workshops offered. Swimming in the river or pool, sitting on a bench under a tree with a fabulous view and a friend with whom to chat--all things together were inspiring, captivating, indescribable.

What a blessing for all attendees!

There’s a place for you…

For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us…
